I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rockski Boutique Bed & Breakfast in Shillong, and it turned out to be a delightful retreat during my explorations of the region. Nestled in a peaceful residential area, the charming ambiance of the establishment was complemented by spacious rooms featuring cozy seating areas and balcony views-perfect for enjoying a cup of tea crafted from the electric kettle provided in the room. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the warm hospitality from the staff, particularly Wennie at reception, who offered valuable suggestions for local sights and eateries. And although very much a beer enthusiast, I appreciated the homemade breakfast that fuelled my adventures, the food clearly reflecting the local culinary culture of Meghalaya. With a bicycle rental service also available, I had the perfect opportunity to immerse myself further in the beautiful surroundings. Rockski Boutique Bed & Breakfast is not just a place for resting your head; it's a wonderful launchpad for exploring not only Shillong's tourist spots but also the delights of its burgeoning beer scene. I left with a heart full of memories and a newfound appreciation for this tranquil corner of India.
